Useful information for before and during your kitchen installation
Waste Removal
The Council will not allow trades to take waste to the local tip.
There are 3 ways for you to deal with your kitchen rubbish –
1. Take the rubbish to your local tip yourself
2. Order a skip which will cost you between approx. £85(mini) to £170 (8 yards) depending on size.
3. Ask your local Council to collect it. Chester residents are allowed 1 free collection per year, thereafter it will cost you approx. £15 (Tel: Cheshire West and Chester Council Refuge Collection 01244 402477)
Before we arrive
Please empty the kitchen of all its contents.Try and set yourself up an area for making tea etc. in another room.Protect your carpets and floors – it is a good idea to put dust sheets down on hall carpets etc. and cardboard on new kitchen floors. We do not recommend customers laying new cushion flooring before we fit the kitchen to avoid the possibility of damage. Please clear a space in the garage or spare room to store the delivery of units and appliances etc. Try not to store them in the kitchen as we need space to work. Call us if you think there is a problem. Try and make a space available for us to use power tools and workbenches. If the weather is dry, we can cut wood in the back garden
Easy access to the kitchen - Via the back of the house is preferable, to avoid constant walking through the hall.
We make many trips to and from the van each day, so if possible please try and allow us to park as close as possible to the kitchen door.
Check the delivery of units/appliances is correct and there are no missing or obviously damaged parts. However, it is impossible to check the contents of every box. Please ensure we have easy access to a toilet. If you are going to be at work, please arrange keys for us and if possible leave contact details in case we need to talk to you the during day.During the work Please leave the kitchen free of personal belongings each day. Day of completion Please anticipate a request for payment and be able to settle the bill before we leave. Payment via cheque or cash, whichever is best for you.
